Repeat prescriptions

We realise that once we have diagnosed a chronic ailment, e.g. arthritis, heart conditions, renal dysfunction, thyroid problems etc. that ongoing permanent medication is necessary. We want to make things as easy as possible for you and yet remain on top of the case.

Some cases may appear stable, but the medication being used has to be monitored, with respect to causing other problems, especially in older pets.

We will therefore agree to providing repeat prescriptions, without a check up consultation, for stable, chronic cases for up to 6 months. Basically we have your pet’s interest at heart, and legislation and professional guidance to follow.

The time interval for check ups for healthy pets requiring flea/worm control is 12 months.

We can never supply antibiotics on a repeat prescription unless the case is ongoing and the course current, rather than historical.
